JACKSONVILLE, Fla., December 14, 2018 – Physicians Group Services (PGS) adds new division, Coastal Anesthesia, to support their multispecialty umbrella. Coastal Anesthesia joins PGS’ 12 other specialty practices in serving the North Florida and Southeast Georgia region for the last 25 years. PGS welcomes anesthesiologist Aaron McClure to serve in the new endeavor as the team’s lead physician.
Physician-led Coastal Anesthesia was established to provide highly advanced and comprehensive treatments for patients before, during and after a procedure. Coastal Anesthesia is a provider of services in North Florida and the surrounding areas, including Clay and Duval counties. Coastal Anesthesiologists work alongside surgeons to monitor the patient and administer necessary medications as part of the patient’s complete surgical team.
The team of Coastal Anesthesiologists is board certified in the state of Florida. They are members in good standing with the American Society of Anesthesiologists and support their mission to: maintain the standards of the medical practice of anesthesiology and to improve the care of the patient, while upholding the values of patient safety, physician-led care and scientific discovery.
Dr. McClure earned his doctorate from the University of North Texas Health Science Center’s Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and an initial residency at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
A member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Texas Medical Association and Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, Dr. McClure has more than 10 years of practical experience. Prior to joining Coastal Anesthesia, Dr. McClure was an anesthesiologist for Apex Anesthesia and Pinnacle Partners in Medicine.
